After the success of the Spring Clean Community Litter Pick, Little Paxton Parish Council organised a Children’s ‘Keep Little Paxton Tidy’ poster competition.
Children were encouraged to design an A4 poster to keep the village clean & tidy and the winning designs would be displayed in the Council Community Notice Boards.
With the help of Little Paxton Primary School, Little Paxton Beavers and Cubs, over 300 entries were received.
Competition judges, Cllr David Clark and Cllr Katie Potts were amazed at the amount of effort that went into the designs.
Cllr David Clark said’ The number of competition entries was overwhelming and it was incredibly difficult to decide on the winning entries.’
Cllr Katie Potts, who is an artist, said ‘The amount of thought that went into the posters demonstrated how much the children care about keeping Little Paxton tidy for everyone to enjoy. Many of the posters showed how litter affects wildlife such as hedgehogs and fish.’
