Felce

I am looking for any members of the Felce family. David Felce was a carpenter and cabinetmaker in Huntingdon town in the early nineteenth century. He married Anne Tansley from Oundle. My e-mail address is johnroberts59@hotmail.com

Jewel Box

From 1980 through 1986, I was stationed at RAF Alconbury. My wife, Becky, and I shopped often in St. Neots and the surrounding areas. We especially enjoyed shopping at The Jewel Box at 38 St. Mary's St., Eynesbury, St. Neots. Unfortunately, I do not remember the shop owner's name, a really very pleasant lady, but her daughter helped in the shop at times. Her name was Nicola. By any chance is the shop still there?

Although, over the course of 25 years in the US military, I lived in many different places and in about 10 different countries, I truly loved your beautiful country the best. I still miss England, every day. Without a doubt, I feel that I spent the very best years of my life there.

Thanks for establishing this website. I will visit it often, and it will help me to finally plan another trip to visit the Cambridgeshire I grew to love and appreciate so much. Thank you all for your kindness and your hospitality over the years, while we were guests in your country.

Myra Sanders

I am looking for a friend from childhood. My name is Janet Williams, my grandfather was George Upchurch and my mother was Kathleen Upchurch who married Mike Frice and came to the State on the Queen Mary after WWII. My aunt was Muriel Howgate. I visited my Grandparents in the summer and my playmate around the corner from Ingram Street was Myra Sanders. She had a brother who's name I can't remember and also a sister Anita. If you know of Myra's whereabouts please ask her to email me at frice@crpud.net. Thank you!

Harry Long

My husband, Harry Long, was stationed at Alconbury from 1966 until 1968. We married in London and had one son, Johnny. I have often wondered what happened to all our friends and acquaintances so if any one remembers Harry and Mary Long, please get in touch with us at erinsac@earthlink.net

Thomas Steward

I was stationed at Alconbury from September 1966 to September 1969 in Base Supply. Was also stationed at RAF Sculthorpe, 47th Bomb Wing from 1953 to 1956. Married a girl from Norwich and we go back every year or so. We lived in Hartford on Coneygear Street and the last year we lived at 2 Charles Drive. We worshiped at the Baptist church in Hartford and later at the Silver Street Baptist Chapel in Godmanchester.

What a lovely Huntingdonshire is. It is a very nice place with people and wonderful sights to visit. Would like to hear from others who were at either Sculthorpe or Alconbury. I also served at Upper Heyford 60-61, Brize Norton, 61-63.
