A view (easterly) down the High Street from the Bridge Foot
Now looking back (westerly) from across the road
The road opposite is South Street and behind the camera is New Street.
and if you cross the road and look the other way (easterly) you see this
The road the the right is South Street and to the left New Street with the High Street straight on.
with this view behind you back towards (westerly) the Market Place and the river bridge
Turning around and continuing down the High Street there are a few interesting things along the way apart from a very good range of local shops and national stores
The St Neots, High Street architecture is the usual eclectic mix that one finds in English Market Towns.
Thank goodness we have now realised the value of this and as you can see from the picture above these
buildings are in good order
Just as well that those before us did not knock things down just because they were "old"
There are a number of alleys that lead off the High Street - don't miss them out as there are some interesting shops in them
and they lead to interesting places too.
This is Moores Walk off the High Street near to the United Reformed Church
and looking back (westerly) towards the Market Place
Oh! just one thing - It gets a lot busier than this especially on Thursday Market Day - In order to get the photos I had to be early!
